347 Year Old London Document Republished - "The Character of an Anabaptist"

As part of my research into 17th century Non-Conformist history, I stumbled across an anonymous document printed in 1660 London. It is a short defense of Baptists, showing their contemporaries, and particularly their King, that they were indeed loyal to the Throne. Striking, however, is their adamant belief in non-compromising loyalty to Scripture. This is a deeply beautiful work, marked by equal doses of humble-love towards others and rigorous-fidelity towards God. To my knowledge, this document has not been republished since that time (please inform me if you know of a source).

I have taken the liberty of republishing this document electronically. A facsimile copy will be coming later. The only advantage of the facsimile will be the numerous scripture quotations located in the side margin (which are not in my retype-set edition located here). Other than that omission, I have chosen to retain original spelling, punctuation, and capitalization.

The Document is titled: The Character of an Anabaptist".

Hope you enjoy.
